The O'Hara and Stuart families have a long connection with Madras. George O'Hara (born 1820) was sent to the Lawrence Memorial School originally in Madras when Lawrence died and John Lawrence (born around 1810) was the Church Clerk and School Master at Vepery Church in 1830.
