Biography: JAMES TRAILL was nominated by Simeon and appointed in 1815. He was not a graduate, but was probably a Cambridge man who came under the notice and influence of his patron while still a student. He served at Vizagapatam from 1817 to 1819, when his health gave way and he had to return to England. He resigned the Service in 1822.
