Biography: THOMAS CONSETT arrived at Fort St. George at the end of 1729 and died there on the 21st July 1730. He was the son of Henry Consett of York, gent., and was educated at Beverley School. He was admitted to St. John's College Cambridge in 1694 aged 17; and graduated B.A. in 1697. He was ordained at York deacon 1698-9, priest 1702.
