Biography: HENRY WILLIAM STUART was born at Lincoln. He matriculated at Queen's College, Cambridge, in 1824; graduated B.A. in 1830; and was appointed a Chaplain in 1831. He served at Vepery 1832-34; Bangalore 1834-37; Ootacamund 1837-43; Trichinopoly 1843-46; Senior Presidency Chaplain at St. George's Cathedral 1846-47, when he retired. He lived for the next six years in Bath, and then became Vicar of Northaw in Hertfordshire. He died in 1857.
