He was involved in the 'Black Hole of Calcutta'. His written about quite
extensively. His shortened biography reads:
Fled to Faluta. This officer was constantly changing employment at one
time 'mere' civilian then an engineer and then a military officer. Orme
says that he was one of the engineers during the siege and went on to
board with Drake"
